Dr Kazem Nassar is the plastic surgery lead for the South East Scotland melanoma multidisciplinary team (MDT) and also sits on the South East Scotland non-melanoma skin cancer MDT, providing specialist surgical input into the assessment and management of melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancer and complex skin cancer cases.

Kazem graduated from the University of Edinburgh and completed his junior doctor training at the Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit in Portsmouth while serving as an RAF medical officer. His RAF service took him across the UK and abroad before he began his plastic surgery training in Scotland.

Throughout his career, Kazem has trained in various units across Scotland, gaining extensive experience in a wide array of procedures. He has published numerous papers in plastic surgery journals and has won prizes for his work presented at conferences. He spent time at the world-renowned Melanoma Institute of Australia in Sydney, gaining valuable insights into managing complex melanoma and skin cancer cases.
