Mole Treatment Options
Surgical Excision
Ideal for larger moles or those requiring a biopsy, this method involves surgically removing the mole along with a margin of surrounding tissue. The site is then stitched closed, typically leaving a minimal scar. The removed tissue can be sent for pathology if required.
Shave Excision
Suitable for protruding moles, this technique involves shaving the mole level with the skin surface, usually resulting in a less noticeable scar. It's particularly effective for moles that stand out from the skin's surface.

No referral is needed. You can book a consultation directly with our consultant-led clinic. All assessments and procedures are carried out by a GMC Specialist Register consultant.
04 How much does mole removal cost?
The consultation fee is £125. Mole removal starts from £595, depending on the number, size, and location of the lesion. A detailed quote will be provided following your consultation.
05 Do you remove moles for cosmetic reasons?
Yes. We remove both benign moles for cosmetic or comfort reasons, and moles that appear suspicious or have changed in appearance.
06 Will the mole be tested after removal?
If there is any clinical concern, we will send the mole for histological analysis (lab testing) to confirm the diagnosis. This is included in the procedure cost where applicable.
07 Will there be a scar after mole removal?
A scar is expected after any skin surgery, but we use meticulous techniques to minimise scarring — especially in visible areas such as the face or neck.
08 How soon can I be seen?
Appointments are usually available within a few days. In some cases, removal can be offered on the same day as your consultation.
09 Who performs the procedure?
